Deputy Vice Chancellor (International & Corporate) China Visit

Professor Sally Wheeler visited China in May 2023. This is the first ANU executive visit after the Pandemic.  The visit enhanced the relationship between ANU and our key stakeholders in China and raised the profile of ANU in the market through a series of events.

ANU & Friends VIP Reception

VIPs from ANU’s key stakeholders from both Chinese and Australian community celebrated the successful co-operation with ANU and exchanged new ideas of future co-operation.

ANU China Enterprises Forum 2023

The ANU China Enterprises Forum, held during Professor Sally’s visit in Beijing was the first and biggest ANU China Apprenticeship Scheme (ACAS) event since the launch of the scheme. 

The forum brought together 27 top Chinese enterprise partners, Austrade and the leading Human Resources agency, focusing in employability services to overseas returned young talents, to discuss the opportunities and challenges of recruiting overseas talent in the post-epidemic era and how university-enterprise collaboration can evolve.

ANU China Open Day - Beijing & Shanghai

Bringing ANU to China? Yes, we did. In addition to Beijing, ANU China Open Day was brought to Shanghai this year!  Perspective students, their parents, offer holders and our wonderful alumni attended the event. Working with different ANU departments, China Centre offered a great experience to all the attendees who’d love to find out more about what ANU could offer in their future study and life!

Launch of Shanghai Desk, ANU China Centre

In 2023, with most of the students heading back to study on campus, ANU China Centre upgraded the Study Hub in Shanghai, which supported the most students among all the study hubs in China, into our Shanghai Desk. In addition to continuous services to current students, Shanghai Desk will also focus on building up and maintaining relationships with ANU key stake holders in East China. 

ANU China Education Agent Partner Appreciation Breakfast - Beijing& Shanghai

DVC Professor Sally Wheeler hosted the event to show ANU’s appreciation of all the wonderful work of the key agents in China. 

2023 ANU Chinese Alumni Reunion-Shanghai 

This is the first ANU official alumni event led hosted by ANU executive since early 2020. Representatives of young Alumni spoke highly of the support they were provided by ANU and China Centre, especially, the great experience they had in the Study Hubs across China.  What they obtained was more than just a space to study. It’s a space to make friends, to support each other and to have fun!
