CASS Academic Staff Member Elections to Academic Board
Report of the Returning Officer on the election of three members of Academic Board by Members of the CASS Academic Staff Members 2024
The 2024 election of three members of Academic Board by members of the academic staff of the ANU College of Arts and Social Science was held in accordance with the Academic Board Protocol 2021.
Four candidates were nominated for election to Academic Board. All candidates and their nominators were checked against the professional staff roll comprising of eligible professional staff members who held their appointment on payday 14 March 2024 and were paid a salary on that day. All nominations were in order.
The candidates were Professor Alison Behie, Dr Kate Flaherty, Dr Naomi Hay and Associate Professor Collin Payne.
An electronic ballot was conducted using the University’s APOLLO system. By close of the Poll at 5pm on Friday 26 April 2024, 73 CASS academic staff had registered a vote.
The scrutiny of the electronic count was conducted by the Returning Officer (Ms. Emma Murrell) via Zoom teleconference at 2pm on Monday 29 April 2024. Ms Leslie McDonald from the Corporate Governance and Risk Office verified the results from the count.
Following the count of preferences, I declare the following elected for a 2-year term commencing 2 May 2024:
- Professor Alison Behie
- Dr Kate Flaherty
- Dr Naomi Hay
