Bandalang Studio Launch

Presented by ANU College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics

The Bandalang Studio at the ANU School of Engineering honours Indigenous Knowledge Systems in innovation, design, research and teaching.

To celebrate the studio's establishment, we're hosting an afternoon of food, music, art, storytelling, and engineering.

Come and discover the emerging opportunities for Indigenous students, researchers, innovators, leaders and their non-Indigenous allies to learn and collaborate.

What's on

  • Immerse yourself in an exhibition of paintings from the Ngaanyatjarra Lands and hear from artist Tjawina Porter speak about Country.
  • Listen to musicians from the ANU Yil Lull Indigenous recording studio community.
  • Participate in the thought-provoking VR experience of Lynette Wallworth's 'Collisions' to learn about the Martu people's perspectives of Country and the impact of Western science and technology on their lives.
  • Take a walk through our new Indigenous-designed resource garden.
  • Learn about the fascinating innovations happening at Bandalang Studio. We've got a lot going on!

Most importantly, come and have a yarn. Bandalang Studio has a growing community of dedicated Indigenous researchers, practitioners, and allies. We want to share our stories and hear yours.
