Song to Studio

Presented by ANU College of Arts & Social Sciences

The Open School of Music at the Australian National University is sponsored by the ACT Government to provide opportunities for the wider community to engage with the expertise and resources that the School of Music has to offer.

Song to Studio is a song writing and production intensive that will challenge participants to write and record an original song in just five sessions.  Over four consecutive weekends in February, participants will explore and expand on their knowledge of chord and arrangement theory for song writing, while learning the basics of studio recording, rehearsing and mixing.

This course is aimed at singer song writers that have written original songs in the past, can accompany themselves on a chordal instrument and have limited recording experience.

There's only a couple of weeks left to apply; the program runs 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on four Saturdays in February - the 4th, 11th, 18th, & 25th, with the final session to be held on Sunday the 26th.

This program is available to anyone in the ACT over 18 years of age.  The program costs just $85.00, but is free for pensioners, health-care card holders or anyone experiencing financial hardship.
