Academic Board Steering Committee

The Academic Board Steering Committee shapes the strategic direction of the Academic Board, determines the agenda for meetings, and resolves any urgent matters which require approval or endorsement on behalf of the Academic Board out-of-session.

Learning and Teaching Committee

The Learning and Teaching Committee monitors and advises the Academic Board on the development of teaching and learning within the University.

Academic Quality Assurance Committee (AQAC)

The objective of the Academic Quality Assurance Committee (AQAC) is to monitor, advise and provide assurance to the Academic Board on the quality of the educational programs and activities of the University.

With effect 01 January 2018, the Academic Board Accreditation Subcommittee has been dissolved. Its functions will now be fulfilled by the following:

Appeals Panel

The Appeals Panel is established under section 12 of the Appeals Rule 2021. The Registrar appoints Appeals Committees to hear and determine appeals on matters of student discipline and academic misconduct, by drawing from the membership of the Panel. All appointments to the Appeals Panel are made by the Academic Board.

University Research Committee

The University Research Committee advises the Academic Board and the Vice-Chancellor on matters relating to the quality and standard of ANU research, and on major issues of research relevant to strategic plans and overarching policy.

With effect 01 January 2018, the University Education Committee has been dissolved and replaced by the following:
