Book launch: National Security Law in Australia

Join us for a panel discussion followed by drinks and canapés to celebrate the launch of this first-of-its-kind book.

National security law is inherently interdisciplinary and those who make and administer national security law must navigate a complex array of competing interests and structures.

This edited volume takes an interdisciplinary approach and includes chapters on national security in the context of judicial power, executive power, federalism, human rights, gender, citizenship, counter-terrorism, foreign interference, cyberspace, biosecurity, policing, law of the sea, space law, and international humanitarian law.

Book editor and author, Associate Professor Danielle Ireland-Piper, will moderate a panel discussion with a selection of chapter authors, followed by remarks from the Independent National Security Legislation Monitor, Jake Blight.

Guests will have the opportunity to continue the discussion over drinks and canapés.
