Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility Open Day

Presented by ANU College of Science

In a day jam-packed with inquiry and all-inclusive fun, this is a chance to get to know the facility and its users inside out. Featured activities include tours of HIAF and the Implanter Laboratories, and scientific demonstrations on natural radioactivity, liquid nitrogen ice cream, a Van de Graff generator and vacuum systems, and more!

Facility Group Tours will run every half an hour from 10.15 am

Science Demonstration Circuit will run 30 minutes past hour from 10.30 am.

Refreshments will be available.

Please note that all visitors should wear closed shoes and visitors under 16 years should be accompanied by an adult.
