Immersia 2023: Invitation to Burmese Literature and Myanmar Culture

Welcome to our venue! Have a look at a variety of Myanmar children's books and listen to the storytelling in Burmese and English. You can also learn how to write Burmese script plus basic greetings in Burmese, being surrounded by beauty of Myanmar objects.

Myanmar, which has a population of 54 million, borders Bangladesh, India, China, Laos and Thailand. While being a Buddhist country, Myanmar embraces many ethnic groups and a diversity of cultures.

Burmese is the main common language in Myanmar and is also widely used in Myanmar communities worldwide. Burmese has a long history of use in literary works and music, and now e-books in Burmese are also increasingly widely read on the internet.
