Indigenous Standpoint Theory: The Research Practice of With, For and By Mob
Presented by ANU College of Arts & Social Sciences
First Peoples enterprise scholars share their lived experiences across a 25-year academic research horizon. Days past of ‘seeing no evil, hearing no evil, speaking no evil’ are incompatible with impactful First Peoples research in modernity that is for, with and by Mob. Indigenous Standpoint which is both theory and practice is summated. The First Peoples and non-Indigenous scholars share their respective standpoints and how they enact respectful partnerships with community that is underpinned by relationality and accountability. Our reflexive practice seeking to provide an interactive engagement that elevates decolonising and Indigenising practices so that the research journey maximises communality, ‘for the benefit of the many’.
