NAIDOC Week 2022
ANU is a proud ongoing supporter of NAIDOC Week which recognises and celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The NAIDOC theme for 2022 is 'Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!'
This theme recognises that whether it's seeking proper environmental, cultural and heritage protections, Constitutional change, a comprehensive process of truth-telling, working towards treaties, or calling out racism - we must do it together. It's also time to celebrate the many who have driven and led change in communities over generations-they have been the heroes and champions of change, of equal rights and basic human rights.
The ANU community are encouraged to celebrate NAIDOC Week through participation in official ANU and local activities and events from 3-10 July 2022. You can view these on the NAIDOC Week Events website.
The University recognises that leave to attend NAIDOC Week activities is of mutual benefit to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff members and the University. Further information can be found at Personal Leave for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Staff members.
