Natural asset farming seminar

Presented by ANU College of Science

Healthy natural assets support biodiversity and landscape function, which in turn underpin agricultural production. From small, quick projects such as fencing a rocky outcrop, to longer-term investments such as planting a native shelterbelt, natural asset enhancements have something to offer for all farms and farming systems.

This seminar is aimed at all those in Federal Government departments working in the field of environmental and agricultural policy and will allow for genuine discussion and two-way exchange between researchers and policy makers.

As the national university, ANU has a unique role to provide evidence-based research that will contribute to, and benefit Australian society.

At this seminar the ANU research team, including Professor David Lindenmayer, will provide specific examples of where government policy can improve decisions about protection and investment in natural assets to support farmers in temperate woodland ecosystems.
