The field of linguistics encompasses the nature of different languages and the nature of language as a cognitive and social phenomenon.
In the Master of General and Applied Linguistics, you will explore diverse topics across general and applied linguistics areas including structural linguistics, sociolinguistics, language acquisition, language contact, language teaching, language and culture, social interaction, forensic linguistics and language documentation.
The breadth of study areas in this program is greater than typical Master programs in the field, with a range of subjects across applied, theoretical and descriptive linguistics.
