Presented by ANU College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics
The ANU School of Cybernetics is excited to invite you to attend a public talk followed by morning tea co-hosted in partnership with the Machine Intelligence and Normative Theory lab, School of Philosophy, Australian National University.
Join Dr Meg Young for this public talk as she examines existing attempts at incorporating participatory methods into the design of foundation models and demonstrates it is intractable for impacted communities to meaningfully shape a foundation model. Dr Young is a participatory methods researcher at Data & Society Research Institute in its Algorithmic Impact Methods Lab.
Come along to hear about Dr Meg Young's work in depth and to network with colleagues across ANU, industry and beyond.
