What's your Canberra story? A student-led workshop

Presented by ANU College of Arts & Social Sciences

Draw, weave and share at Canberra Museum & Gallery

Drop into anytime between 12.30pm and 2.30pm to Canberra Museum and Art Gallery (CMAG) for an afternoon of free student-led public programs. Begin at the Canberra Times Fountain and follow the chalk drawing through Civic Square and arrive at CMAG to reach the golden treasure!

Once in the gallery, visit the exhibition Materiality...but not as we know it and then take part in two hands-on activities. Participate in The Great Weave to reflect on textiles waste and the intimate narratives embedded in the clothing that we throw away. In the courtyard, explore a fluid approach to making and add your own unique leaf to the Tree of Materiality.

These public programs are presented as part of The Public Project: Engagement Strategies for Artists, Designers, Institutions and Communities at the ANU School of Art & Design.

Come support the next generation of artists, designers, place-makers and community practitioners as they learn through doing!
