Harmony Week is celebrated across Australia from Monday 18 March to Sunday 24 March and coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. This is an important week to celebrate inclusion, respect and creating a sense of belonging, as we recognise the culturally and linguistically diverse workforce we have at ANU. You can show your support this week by wearing orange, building awareness through available courses and by reflecting on how we create a welcoming, inclusive environment at ANU.

The Susan Ryan Oration stands as the University's flagship International Women's Day celebration, dedicated to honouring the late Susan Ryan. Through this Oration, we aim to foster critical dialogues on gender equity and discrimination, issues that Susan championed throughout her extensive career, and which continue to be pressing national debates today.

As part of the ANU Digital Master plan, Follow-Me printing will be rolled out on existing Multi-Function Printer Devices across the Acton campus. You will soon be able to print and scan from any of these printers by simply swiping your ANU ID card, mobile phone or entering a PIN. A pilot of this service will begin in June 2024.

The University recognises that many staff have caring responsibilities that may impact their access to career development. The Carers' Career Development Assistance Fund (CCDAF) is for individual academic and professional staff with caring responsibilities who require support to participate in significant national or international conferences, workshops or symposia that contribute to their careers. Grants of up to $2,000 are available for reasonable costs relating to care of dependents where existing care arrangements are not available.

The Vice Chancellor Award for Reconciliation aims to encourage and recognise ANU staff members for initiatives and activities that support the pursuit of reconciliation, within the University or beyond. Recipients are recognised at the annual Reconciliation Lecture, held in June each year.

Last year's recipients, Dr Oliva Evans and Dr Junwen Chen, demonstrated leadership in developing the course 'PSYC2012 Culture and Psychology' which has had a significant impact on over 250 undergraduate students each year, addressing the colonial roots of psychology and promoting cross-cultural understanding. Their dedication and contributions to reconciliation initiatives and decolonizing the discipline are truly commendable.
