Student profile: Poojaa Srinivasan

Poojaa Srinivasan has submitted her Honours thesis in Criminology and is now eagerly anticipating her upcoming mid-year graduation. 

For Poojaa, graduation is a "bittersweet" feeling, "in the sense I'm losing my identity as a student, and it’s a big change but I'm excited to venture out into the world."

Student profile: Xingweiai Fang

Xingweiai Fang has handed in his thesis and is getting ready to don the gown and cap this week, graduating with a Master of Art History and Curatorial Studies.

A world-leading national health precinct housing the latest treatment and research will be built on the ANU campus under a new plan announced today. 

The ACT Government has sold ANU an 8,600 square metre block on Marcus Clarke Street for $16.75m, which the University will transform into a new home for its world-leading research and teaching in health, as well as a place where Canberrans can access the latest therapies and a centre for policy making in health. 

"This once-in-a-generation opportunity was too exciting to miss," ANU Vice-Chancellor Professor Brian Schmidt said.

In this seminar, Dr Porter will suggest how parents can prevent most behavioural disruptions in children by meeting the children’s needs and, in the event of thoughtless behaviour, can use a guidance approach so that we do not provoke further outbursts.

The 2023 Myanmar Update aims to understand, celebrate, and explicate the Myanmar people’s resistance to the 1 February 2021 coup. The military’s violent crackdown on what was initially a peaceful popular uprising provoked a near-countrywide revolutionary movement, which has brought together an array of different political, ethnic, and religious groups fighting for the shared goal of ending military rule. 

The conference seeks to explore the complexities of the revolutionary struggle; the effects of the coup on the state and economy; and the myriad ways in which the people in Myanmar are coping with deepening violence and poverty.

Research Infrastructure Survey 

ANU is developing an ambitious strategy to support research infrastructure at a whole-of-university level. 

As part of the discovery phase for this strategy, we are seeking your input. As infrastructure users, people in technical and administration support roles and university leaders, your insights are valuable to ensure the strategy is responsive to the needs of our ANU research community.
