Scholarship inspires staff’s studies to advance career

The Professional Staff Scholarship Scheme (PSSS) made a big difference to Kerry-Ann Hugo, in funding her postgraduate studies. The scheme is a career development initiative to advance the skills and knowledge of professional staff.

ANU building lit up in solidarity with Ukraine

Blue and yellow lit up the façade of a building on ANU campus last week.
The initiative was a part of 'ANU after dark at Enlighten' and signifies the University's stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people in their defence against Russia's invasion. |

National awards for two outstanding ANU educators
|
Professor Katerina Teaiwa took home two awards at the latest Australian National Teaching Awards, including being named the Australian University Teacher of the Year. Dr Timo Henckel was honoured with a Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.

A window to our past
|
Herbert Cole “Nugget” Coombs was a founding member of ANU. As Director-General of Post-War Reconstruction, Herbert advocated for a new research institution in Canberra as an essential part of recovery after the Second World War. He became the University’s fourth Chancellor in 1968.
A long-time advocate for Indigenous affairs, Herbert is remembered as “a small man with an immense heart and intellect”.
