Judith Whitworth Fellowship Endowment

Judith Whitworth was the former Director of JCSMR and the Judith Whitworth Fellowship for Gender Equity in Science has been established in her honour.

It will encourage and reward young scientists, in particular young women, who have been required to take a period of leave from their academic career for the purpose of caring for a child. The Fellowship will provide two years of salary and research support, allowing highly trained and highly talented researchers to re-establish a competitive CV on return to academia.
