Friends of the ANU Classics Museum Fellowship
The Friends of the ANU Classics Museum Fellowship provides funding for The Friends’ Lecturer in Classics and Curator of the ANU Classics Museum, a pivotal research and teaching position in the Centre for Classical Studies.
The Friends’ Lecturer in Classics and Curator of the ANU Classics Museum is a part-time academic position dedicated to activating the Museum’s collection of more than 600 objects from the Ancient Mediterranean world.
Giving to the Fellowship supports the Centre for Classical Studies in:
- Managing the Museum collection and conducting academic research on objects in its care
- Providing outstanding research-led teaching to undergraduate and Honours students in Classical Studies using the collection and the Object-Based Learning Lab
- Co-ordinating outreach and engagement with schools, teachers, and members of the community
- Developing relationships and collaborations with national embassies, museums, and heritage organizations.
The ANU Classics Museum educates and inspires students and community members to develop an understanding and critical appreciation of our objects, their stories, and the societies and cultures that produced them. Your generosity ensures that the Museum possesses the necessary academic leadership to fulfill this mission for generations to come.
