Robert and Helen Crompton Endowment

Priority area: Leading in our region
Emeritus Professor Robert Crompton, an ANU physicist for over 40 years, and his wife Helen established the Crompton Scholarship Endowment to support outstanding physics students to attend and present at conferences, both overseas and nationally.

Professor Crompton was lucky enough to travel to a conference in the US early in his career in 1968, an experience that has stayed with him over the years. Professor Crompton hopes the endowment will allow students to build contacts, collaborate on projects and learn about the latest advances and techniques.

The support also includes travel to laboratories to liaise with like researchers on research projects as ANU ambassadors in their particular field of research.
