Jim Williams wins Australian Institute of Physics Medal

Emeritus Professor Jim Williams has received the Australian Institute of Physics Harrie Massey Medal for outstanding contributions to physics in Australia.
He has been recognised "for pioneering and sustained contributions to condensed matter physics, materials physics and ion beam physics, as well as leadership to Physics."
Professor Williams was happy to be recognised.
"I am delighted to receive the Harrie Massey medal. It is a very nice surprise. I am particularly pleased that by research achievements in condensed matter and materials physics over my career have been so highly valued by my peers, a real honour for me."
