Lifted COVID-19 restrictions in VIC, SA and regional NSW

Message from the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student and University Experience)
27 Jul 2021

*This is a message for students in Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales*

Dear students,

We are writing to you regarding new advice from ACT Health in response to changed COVID-19 restrictions for Victoria, South Australia and Orange City Council, Blayney Shire Council and Cabonne Shire Council local government areas in regional New South Wales. If you are currently in these areas, you are allowed to travel to the ACT without the need to follow stay-at-home orders, from 11.59pm tonight.

If you are already in the ACT under stay-at-home orders relating to these areas, you will be released from these orders at 11.59pm tonight.

If you are seeking to enter the ACT from tomorrow, and you have spent any time in South Australia or Victoria in the past 14 days, you must complete a declaration form within 24 hours prior to arriving in the ACT.

The declaration form will no longer be required for people who have spent time in the Orange City Council, Blayney Shire Council and Cabonne Shire Council local government areas.

We look forward to seeing those of you who have been affected by lockdowns in these areas on campus soon.

Unfortunately, the message for those of you in Greater Sydney has not changed. We will update you when we know more.

We have online course options available for you, and our teachers have listened to feedback and ideas and worked very hard to make online content engaging and interactive.

We also have a range of support services for you, and these can be accessed remotely at no cost, and there are also a range of financial support options available to you.

We will keep advocating to get you back to campus as soon as possible.

Best wishes,

Grady
