Global Business Immersion study tour – Taiwan

The Semester 1, 2018 Global Business Immersion intensive course (CBEA3066) will feature a 13-day in-country study tour in April 2018 that will provide students with exposure to the unique business, political and cultural environment in Taiwan.

Up to 28 undergraduate students will travel together to Taiwan during the April 2018 mid-semester teaching break for two weeks, under the guidance of course convenors Ying-Yi Chih, Senior Lecturer of Project Management in the Research School of Management; and Vinh Lu, Associate Professor in Marketing in the Research School of Management.

This study tour will offer students a customized and exclusive program that maximses their learning experience through in-class activities and company visits. Specifically, students will have unique opportunities to understand (i) the transformation of Taiwan into a knowledge-based economy, (ii) how Taiwan's cultural and political diversity facilitates its economy transformation, (iii) the role of SMEs in Taiwan's economy, and (iv) Taiwanese government's role in shaping regional development agenda. ANU students will also participate in a range of cultural activities organised by National Chengchi University, the local host and top-ranked university in Taiwan.
