John Mitchell Prize in Economics

Each year the ANU College of Business and Economics Research School of Economics may offer a prize which shall be known as the John Mitchell Prize in Economics.

Overview

The objective of the prize is to award a student who achieved the best result as shown by the award of the highest aggregate mark in the first year of Bachelor of Economics program.

The value of the prize/s awarded is $2,500.

The prize will be on offer from 2024 to 2026.

Funding for this prize has been provided by Mr John Mitchell, an ANU alumni, successful farmer and investor who is passionate about removing barriers to higher education and reducing income inequality.
