Mavis Prater Prize for Women in Mathematics

Each year the ANU College of Science may offer a prize known as the Mavis Prater Prize for Women in Mathematics.

Overview

The objectives of the prize are to recognise outstanding academic achievement and to encourage female students enrolled in a degree of Bachelor in the ANU College of Science to continue on with their studies in Mathematics.

The prize will be offered in perpetuity.

Funding for this prize has been provided by the Australian Federation of Graduate Women (AFGW) and matched by the Mathematical Sciences Institute, ANU.
