Terry Miles Prize in Jazz

Each year the ANU School of Music may offer one prize known as the Terry Miles Prize in Jazz.

The objective of the prize is to assist students who are enrolled in a Bachelor of Music, majoring in jazz performance.

The value of the prize awarded is $1,000.

One prize will be on offer annually for five years from 2019 to 2024 inclusive.

Funding for this prize was provided by Barbara Miles, in honour of her father Terry Miles. Terry Miles began playing the xylophone at a very young age, transitioned to vibraphone later in life, and was a passionate Jazz Musician.
