Manage My Degree (MMD) eForm Exemptions
This page is only for students who have been directed here from the eForm via their ISIS account. General information about MMD can be found on the Student Administration eForms webpage.
Phase one of MMDis now available, andwill only refer to the enrolment information undertaken during your current degree. If you have recently transferred degrees or commenced a new degree, you may be required to complete a physical application. Future releases will resolve this issue.
If you fall into one of the following categories you will need to complete an application by following the processes below:
Manage My Degree HDR
- Complete the online Application for Enrolment Change;
- Email the application to your Academic College for processing. The Academic College contact details can be found below.
Apply for a backdated leave of absence;
- Complete the online Application for Program and Scholarship Leave;
- You will receive an email once your application has been assessed notifying you of the outcome.
Apply for a backdated change of intensity;
- Complete the online Application for Change of Intensity - Research;
- You will receive an email once your application has been assessed notifying you of the outcome.
Apply to change your program within or between different Schools and/or Colleges;
- Complete an Application for Change of Research Program;
- Email the application to your Academic College for processing. The Academic College contact details can be found below.
Apply for an extension of your scholarship for a length of time that does not fall within the standard four week blocks available (full-time students) or eight week blocks (part-time students);
Apply for an extension of your scholarship once your expiry date has passed (please check your conditions of award to confirm your eligibility for an extension in this instance);
- Complete an Application for Extension of Research Scholarship;
- Email the application to your Academic College for processing. The Academic College contact details can be found below.
Set up or extend your fee waiver for the HDR Fee Remission Merit Scholarship;
- Contact your Academic College for an HDR Scholarship Payment Form. The Academic College contact details can be found below.
Apply for an internal sponsorship of tuition fees;
- Complete the Notification of Internal Sponsorship form;
- Obtain approval from the finance office of your School/College before submitting the form;
- Email the application to sponsorships@anu.edu.au for processing. Alternatively you can send a hardcopy of the form to:

Apply for an extension of your HDR program once your maximum submission date has passed;
- Read the relevant sections of the Research Award Rules before submitting an application;
- Download, and save, then complete the Application for Extension of Research Program;
- Email the application to your Academic College for processing. The Academic College contact details can be found below.
Apply to change your supervisory panel;
- Read the Changes to your supervisory panel website for detailed information about this process.
- Contact your Academic College for any intended changes to your supervisory panel. The Academic College contact details can be found below.
Submission and examination of your thesis;
- Follow the instructions relevant to you on the HDR Submission and Examination of Thesis Procedure website.
Manage My Degree Coursework
Apply to retake a course for the third time, where one of the previous attempts was in a previous degree;
- Complete an Application for Enrolment Change requesting permission to retake the course.
- Email the application to your Academic College for processing. The Academic College contact details can be found below.
Overload where you met one or more of the overload requirements in a previous degree/s;
- Read the Student academic study load and progression policy to confirm your eligibility to overload your enrolment;
- Complete an Application for Overload of Enrolment;
- Email the application to your Academic College for processing. The Academic College contact details can be found below.
Apply for late withdrawal from a degree you are no longer in;
- Read the Late Withdrawal webpage to confirm whether you qualify for a late withdrawal;
- Complete an Application;
- Provide the physical application and all supporting documentation to ANU Student Central.
