Presented by ANU College of Arts & Social Sciences

Documentary film screening with free ticket giveaway!

Seven years in the making, The Lake of Scars documentary, filmed on Dja Dja Wurrung country in Victoria, is heading to Canberra for its ACT premiere.

This 'must-see documentary' (Cinema Australia) deals with the area's scarred trees, middens, wetlands, and the relationship between Dja Dja Wurrung people and members of the wider community as they navigate the ups and downs of what reconciliation in Australia really means. It's been warmly welcomed by critics and historians, branding it 'a fascinating film' (ABC The Screen Show) and 'deeply moving and evocative' (Paul Daley, author and Guardian journalist.)
