Media Training for ANU Staff

Got a story you want to tell? Have always wondered how to get your work into the media but didn't know where to start?

ANU Communications and Engagement (ACE) holds free media training for ANU staff throughout the year.

Upcoming sessions will be advertised on the ANU Identity training and development page and you can register through the Eventbrite pages or by emailing media@anu.edu.au.

The workshops, all run by experienced journalists, will give you an insight into how the media works, what journalists want from you and the benefits to academics from engaging with the media.

They include practical sessions on making your research engaging and understandable to a general audience, identifying newsworthy angles, interview practice for radio and TV in the media studio, and using social media.

We also run bespoke training sessions for individual areas. Please contact the media team at media@anu.edu.au if you would like to arrange a workshop for your area.
