Inviting speakers for your event

Presenters should be advised if the event is to be recorded. They will also need to be aware of where the recording will be stored, for example whether it will be in Wattle or on an ANU website.

The following wording is suggested for inclusion in the email invitations to present, or a follow up email with details or as a confirmation.

The event will be a public event/or a lecture (if a limited audience e.g. students we recommend including that) and will be recorded. The recording will be made available <name of website/Content management system>. You will be offered the opportunity to review and make any essential amendments to the recording before it is put online.

While it is rare for speakers to request changes, offering the opportunity may encourage speakers to ensure that the recording is released.
