Education verification & authentication

The University has a Graduate search function that authenticates ANU alumni status for individuals who have graduated from 1995 onwards. If you require confirmation that an individual has graduated from the ANU, please utilise this Graduate search.

Cross-institutional study

Studying at another Australian university and counting the results towards your ANU program is known as cross-institutional study.

Students are not normally enrolled at ANU when studying cross-institutionally, however, it is possible to study at another university concurrently with your ANU studies.

This is most commonly achieved by combining ANU studies with online courses from another university, or with courses from another Canberra institution.

Fieldwork

Research students

Fieldwork is an integral part of many research programs and covers a wide range of data-gathering activities. Discussions about your fieldwork should begin early in your candidature.

Conference attendance

Students are encouraged to seek support whenever needed.  Please visit the Health, Safety & Wellbeing webpage for available support services. 

Attendance at national and international conferences is a common part of research training for ANU research students, providing an opportunity to present research and discuss it with others in the discipline.

Textbooks

The textbook list for each course will be available from academic departments, schools and centres around November each year. You can visit the Harry Hartog webpage for more information.

Your course may have a reading brick. Some courses use reading bricks as a way of providing all the required readings for a course without the student having to buy multiple textbooks.

Travel concessions

You may be eligible for student transport concessions.

ACT

Full-time students holding a valid ANU student card can receive a concession fare on ACTION buses within the ACT.

Testamur

The Testamur serves as an official document verifying your qualification, featuring the University seal and signatures from the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor. However, distinctions such as Honours levels (e.g. First Class Honours), Majors (e.g. Chinese), awards and prizes will not be displayed on the Testamur.

Digital Documents (My eQuals)

Students and graduates can view, download and share their ANU academic documents online, at any time using a secure service called My eQuals provided by Digitary®. The academic documents available using this system are:
